CS JUMA LANDS IN NEW DELHI FOR A JOINT COMMISSION ON COOPERATION

Cooperation in the Big Four agenda will dominate this week’s JCC discussions in New Delhi, India.

CS Amb. Monica Juma landed in New Delhi, India this evening to a colorful reception by Dr. Neena Malhotra who met her on behalf of Hon. Sushma Swaraj, India Minister of External Affairs.

CS Juma makes her visit almost two years after His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta’s official visit to India in January 2017.

“I am looking forward to tomorrow’s engagement with my counterpart, I can already visualize takeaways from this important visit. India is a key player on some of the Big Four areas such as health, manufacturing and food security. It is this competitive advantages that will underpin our discussions,” said CS Juma on arrival in New Delhi.

The two day visit to India by the Cabinet Secretary includes a meeting with key captains of business and industry, a lecture at the Indian Council of World Affairs and a session with the African group of Ambassadors.

The CS will later visit Sri Lanka and Bangladesh for further engagement with her counterparts.
