Minister delivers special message

President Pierre Nkurunziza of Burundi receives Hon Moses Wetangula

H.E President Kibaki dispatched Hon. Moses Wetang’ula, Minister for Foreign Affairs as Special Envoy to deliver a special message to Burundian President H.E Pierre Nkurunziza.

On arrival, Hon. Wetang’ula was met by the Minister for External Relations H.E. Madam Antoinette Batumubwira and H.E. Mr. Benjamin Mweri, Kenya’s Ambassador to the Republic of Burundi.

Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Moses Wetang’ula held a series of separate meetings with Diplomats on Tuesday 13th May, 2008.

Led by Senior Vice President, Mark Schneider, accompanied by Francois Grignon, Africa Program Director and Amb. Andebrhan Giorgis, Senior Advisor Africa Programme, the International Crisis Group gave a brief to Hon. Wetang’ula on the organization activities. He stated that the Group undertakes research on conflict related fields and disseminates policy recommendations. He presented the Minister with the most recent annual report.
