The sports manufacturer firm CEO & Chairman of the Board of Puma AG, Mr. Jochen Zeitz called on Hon. Wetang’ula, Minister for Foreign Affairs on Wednesday, 26th March 2008. Mr. Zeitz has investment interests in Samburu District Kenya in Eco-Sphere bringing together the flora, fauna and wildlife.

His investment is huge and on the path of growth once the luxury lodge for top end market is completed in 2009. This will grow the number of employees from the current 180.

As chairman of Foundation, he has engagement in projects across Africa and is exploring support to art projects in Africa.

He revealed that his investment is all solar powered including fences, pumps, water purification among others. This brings in a combination of very modern technology to harness the vast solar and wind potential in Africa.

In actualizing his vision, all products at the Ranch will all be locally  grown or manufactured including furniture, and where completely not available , source from other African countries.

In addition to the Foundation, he informed that Puma sponsors a number of Kenyan athletes as well as top African football clubs. His investment interest in Kenya portends well for Kenya’s football fraternity.

Commending the CEO, the Minister thanked him for the confidence he has shown on Kenya. He assured him of Government’s support in his endeavours and looked forward to close collaboration in promoting the country as a safe destination for investment.
