During the opening ceremony, Hon. Moses Wetang’ula who was the Chief Guest congratulated Rwanda’s joining of the Commonwealth, saying that their entry would strengthen cooperation among the members.  He added that Kenya will continue to support Rwanda’s interests within the Commonwealth.

On her part, Hon. Mushikwabo appreciated Kenya’s continued support for her country and called for an even closer cooperation between the two countries. She said that the opportunity will expand the economic, social and political cooperation within the Commonwealth.
