Turkish Government Donates IT Equipment to MFA

Wednesday February 8, 2017 (MFA Press) — The Ministry today received ICT equipment’s from the Turkish Government aimed at supporting technical infrastructure in the ministry.

While receiving the equipment for the Ministry, Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amb. Amina Mohamed expressed gratitude to Turkish Government for continued support and cooperation noting that the relationship between the two countries has grown in scope.

She highlighted exchange of high level visits starting with that of President Uhuru Kenyatta to Turkey in 2014 and the subsequent return visit by Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Kenya in 2016 as a sign of the cordial relationship between the two countries.

The CS stressed the support in the Agricultural and Health Sectors by the Turkish Government was enormous.

The Turkish Ambassador to Kenya, Amb. Deniz Eke, reiterated her Government’s commitment to continue working and supporting Kenya to improve the welfare of the Kenyan people.

Equipment donated included, Ipads, Macbooks, colour printers, scanners, camera, UPs, firewall and Cisco Switch.

Present during the handing over ceremony were Principal Secretary Monica Juma, Political and Diplomatic Secretary Tom Amollo and other senior staff at the Ministry.
