Advancing Kenya Israel Relations
The Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Dr. Musalia Mudavadi yesterday received the State of Israel’s Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Gideon Behar, who paid a courtesy call at his office.
The meeting underscored the long-standing and cordial relations between Kenya and Israel, founded on mutual respect and shared values. Discussions explored opportunities to further strengthen strategic cooperation in key sectors, including agriculture, food security, defence, renewable energy, health diplomacy, and technology.
The two leaders emphasized the importance of partnership in addressing the climate crisis, with a particular focus on harnessing Kenya’s vast geothermal energy potential. In this regard, the Prime Cabinet Secretary invited increased Israeli investment in the sector.
They also exchanged views on enhancing multilateral cooperation at the United Nations and other international fora, reaffirming Kenya’s commitment to peace and stability in the Middle East.
