Strengthening Kenya–United States Strategic Partnership

Amb. Josphat Maikara,Director General Political and Diplomatic Affairs held discussions with Carla Benini,Chargé d’Affaires a. i. of the US  Embassy in Nairobi in his office on preparations for the 4th Session of Kenya–US Bilateral Strategic Dialogue (BSD), proposed for early December 2026.

The discussions centered on advancing strategic cooperation across the five BSD pillars, strengthening institutional coordination, and deepening collaboration on shared priorities in trade and investment, peace and security, health, people to peole engagements and regional issues.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further elevating the Kenya–US partnership to a more strategic level and facilitating mutually beneficial outcomes through the upcoming Dialogue and other high-level engagements.
