Prime Cabinet Secretary Dr. Musalia Mudavadi has met with U.S. Secretary of State, Senator Marco Rubio where discussions have centred on regional peace, security, trade, investment, diplomatic engagement and fast-tracking the Kenya-U.S. Free Trade Agreement. 

Dr. Mudavadi who doubles as the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs also discussed the progress of peace efforts in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Secretary Rubio reaffirmed U.S. support for Kenya's leadership in regional stability, democratic governance, and the MSS Mission in Haiti.

Dr. Mudavadi was accompanied by Principal Secretary Dr. Korir Sing’Oei, National Security Advisor, Amb. Monica Juma, Kenya’s ambassador to the United States Ambassador David Kerich and his deputy, Amb. Christopher Kirigua.
