Amb. Lindsay Kiptiness, ‘ndc’ (K), Deputy Director General, Middle East Directorate received Mr. Abdullah Al-Fahad, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Nairobi, who paid him a courtesy call. Their deliberations centered on areas of mutual interest and benefit, aimed at strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation between Kenya and Kuwait. Of particular interest include labour, air connectivity, education, health infrastructure, ODA, trade and investment. 

The two sides also reflected on the key milestones achieved over the past years, including cooperation in development initiatives supported through the Kuwait Arab Fund for Economic Development, security collaboration, and mutual support within multilateral fora. 

The discussions further emphasized the importance of expediting the holding of the 1st Kenya - Kuwait JCC to conclude and sign pending Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for implementation to deepen and operationalize cooperation across key priority areas. 

Amb Kiptiness thanked Kuwait for the support towards food security in the Bura Irrigation scheme, support to schools infrastructure in Nyamira County, and health infrastructure in Wajir County.
