The Delegation of IGAD Council of Ministers led by Ethiopian state minister of foreign affairs Hirut Zemene met with President Salva Kiir at the state house on Friday.

The IGAD delegation discussed with President Salva Kiir the implementation of the outstanding critical issues hindering the implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement.

The Ethiopian State Minister of Foreign Affairs Hirut Zemene outlined that they came on a consultation to find out, how President Salva Kiir is handling the implementation of the security arrangements and the issue on the number of states as agreed by the peace deal.

The Minister of Cabinet affairs, Dr. Martin Elia Lomoro said, President Salva Kiir is concerned and engaged on how to handle those critical issues before the deadline for the formation of the transitional government of national unity.

The Kenyan State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ababu Terrah Namwamba Said, they are impressed with the progress made by the parties towards the implementation of the peace deal.

Ababu said, that they are happy to learn that, Dr. Riek Machar will be arriving in Juba on Saturday on his volition to join the political parties towards the conclusion of the pre transitional period.
