Central Planning and Project Division

The Central Planning and Project Division (CPPMD) is responsible for planning and analysis of government policies in the Ministry; provision of advice on planning and economic policy issues to the Principal Secretary; undertaking economic analysis, evaluation and monitoring of development projects and programmes; conducting prefeasibility and feasibility studies; setting project priorities; collection and analysis of data; review of development policy strategies and programmes; coordination of sectoral development plans; assisting in the formulation of economic and statistical development activities; initiation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policy and other budgetary process to provide the requisite information for decision making and appraisal of national development strategies and projects.

In addition, the Division is currently mandated to promote mainstreaming of youth, gender, disability, HIV/Aids prevention, alcohol and drug abuse prevention, and facilitating staff welfare in the Ministry.
